Set in Mumbai, Rashomon is an account of events that transpire on a stormy day, as seen by everyone involved, directly or indirectly. Do they truly witness the events with their eyes or can the mind “see” things differently? The two stories on which this play is based were adapted into Akira Kurosawa’s celebrated Japanese film, considered one of the most influential films ever made.
Aided by elaborate fight sequences and a series of flashbacks, the play unfolds over one fateful evening, accompanied by live music.
The play contains sexual content and adult language, so parents should exercise discretion if bringing children under 17. Children under 13 will not be admitted.
